Cadets and staff were out on the streets of Bournemouth on Saturday 6th November
to show
their support for this year’s Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.

The Poppy Appeal is one of the best-known and supported campaigns in the calendar and each
year the nation shows its support for The Royal British Legion's work by giving generously to the Poppy Appeal.

They are aiming to raise £36 million this year to help not only the older war veterans but the Afghan generation of the Armed Forces family too. The Royal British Legion has committed to contribute £25 million over 10 years to help injured Service personnel.

“Last years campaign in Bournemouth raised £24000 in one week alone!” said Bournemouth Poppy Appeal Organiser Councillor Anne Rey.

“We are very grateful to the Air Cadets for lending their support and I am confident that last years total will be beaten thanks to the generosity of the general public,” she added.
